<p>Years ago Jim Schulman posted an article online detailing what he described as Presso&#8217;s &#8220;fatal flaw&#8221;. At the time Jim posed that to achieve good results from the Presso, a modification to the piston was required to fill the air pocket which forms inside the cylinder when making a shot.</p>
<p>For the record, it is <span style="text-decoration: underline;">not</span> necessary to modify the Presso in any way to achieve great tasting, rich shots of espresso replete with crema. If the coffee is freshly roasted, ground right before making a shot and to the right degree of fineness (not too fine) then you&#8217;ll be well pleased with the results.
